Blurb:
Centuries ago ten powerful vampire gods first walked the earth; their blood thirst knew no boundaries. The destruction of mankind was inevitable. Recognizing their weakness, they selected twelve wise human beings to transform with their godly blood. These twelve, known as The Old Ones and The Council, govern The Ten. A blood lottery appeasing The Ten’s hunger was set forth into the human world and passed down every fifth generation, continuing into the present day. All of Beth Ryan’s life a mysterious mist watched over her, a mist she believed to be a vampire. On a cold winter night, she comes face to face with Philippe Delon, a 700 year old vampire with a human soul. Beth is certain Philippe is the vampire behind the mist. She is drawn to him, accepting his immortality without question or fear. Beth and Philippe cannot deny their love for each other, nor do they try to fight it. Within days of their encounter, Beth accepts Philippe’s invitation to move into his mansion. The mansion unlocks the door to the vampire world and exposes secrets from Beth’s past. Within its walls, she learns the true identity of the mist, her link to the blood lottery, and betrayal of her loved ones. Surrounded by lies, Beth stands before The Council begging for resolution.
Excerpt:
My bedroom door stood ajar. It reeked of dewy rosebuds. Inhaling an intoxicating breath, my head spun. I inched closer, running my hand along the wall and peering through the parted doorframe. The mist drifted past the opening. My heart jumped into my throat. Pushing the door wide open, I hurried inside and flicked on the light. Red rose petals drenched my bed, cascading like a waterfall onto the carpet. I opened my mouth, but no sound came out. My feet seemed rooted into the floor. He’d done this for me, for my birthday. Catching my breath, I shut the door, closing us off from the outside world. The mist shifted into the silhouette of man, gliding across my room toward my bed. His translucent hand pointed to a folded sheet of pink paper resting on my pillow. My palms tingled. Was it a love letter? I ran to my bed, pick it up, and fell backward onto the blanket of rose petals. They fluttered, crashed onto me, and caressed my skin. Stroking the coarse paper between my fingers, I bit my lip and opened it. My gaze flew across the page. If I had to choose whether to breathe or to love you, I would use my last breath to tell you that...I love you. The paper trembled in my hands, his words blurring behind my tears. He loved me, and I him. I rose to my feet and faced him. My mouth went dry. I forced out each word. “What...are...you?” He waved his hand over the rose petals, spinning them faster and faster. As they came to rest on my mattress, a letter unfolded...V. The others quickly followed. My small human life shrunk into the background. All that remained was a word...VAMPIRE.
Laura's Biography:
I was born and raised in Sunny San Diego, California. A creative writing class in junior high sparked my desire to tell stories; however, Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles was my true inspiration to sit down a write a novel. Interview with the Vampire was published in 1976 and has gone on to become one of the best-selling novels of all time.
After reading the chronicles of Vampire Lestat, the driving passion to write my own vampire legend tingled in my fingertips. In 1996, I completed and copyrighted Immortal Kiss. It sat patiently for 14 years. In 2010, while packing to move, I stumbled upon it tucked away in my closet. I dusted it off and sat down to read. I fell in love with the story all over again; though, being 14 years old it needed some modernizing. I set forth on the journey of reviving Immortal Kiss.
In 2013, 3 years later, Immortal Kiss was off to the publishers and agents. In 2014, it found a home with World Castle Publishing, and 1 year later, Immortal Kiss was hot off the press and available to the public.
Currently, I am modernizing and reviving its sequel, Bound By Blood that I completed and copyrighted May 2001.
Other completed works in the queue to modernize and revive are, The Vampire Within (2004), A City of Vampires (2007), and The Soul Collector (2010). Future projects for creation are, The Ten, The Old Ones, and Vampire Amon.
I truly enjoy interacting with all my readers and fans so be sure to connect with me on social media. Don't forget to post your book reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. Feel free to email me as well!

Hidden Wings by Ana Raine (Dreamspinner Press)
Summary:
Kanji is the last royal Kuro swan, an ancient race who once
served the demonic Sidhee. The Kuro were betrayed and given as slaves to the
Dryma fairies. When a Dryma is born, his soul attaches to a tree and to sustain
their lives, the Dryma conscript the Kuro to protect their woods. In their
servitude, the Kuro are languishing and dying off. Kanji is desperate to
reunite his people with their stolen wings, but the task seems impossible.
When Kanji discovers a plan to unite the Sidhee and the
Dryma, he tricks the Sidhee prince and attends a masked ball in disguise. There
he meets Prince Tristan, who is nothing like the other fairies. Kind and
compassionate, Tristan has a plan to free the Dryma from their dependence on
the trees—and their need of the Kuro’s protection. It could mean freedom for
Kanji’s people, but it might also mean choosing between them and the life of
the fairy who is—impossibly—his mate.
When Tristan is wounded in battle and left for dead, his
survival depends on the success of his experiments. Can Kanji dare to believe,
or must he come to terms with the loss of his mate?

White Stag (Reindeer Games)
by Ana Raine
Blurb:
Four years ago geneticist Jayce Harper lost the love of his life. Now every Christmas Jayce returns to his cabin in the woods to celebrate Christmas. Alone. Every year he sets an extra place at the table and bakes a full Christmas dinner, including peppermint cookies, knowing those cookies are the one scent his lost lever can never resist.
Four years ago Crane found out who, and what, he was, without understanding why. Thinking his lover had betrayed him, Crane shifted to reindeer form and took off running. He's been running loose in the forest around the lake as a reindeer for the last four years, almost forgetting he's ever been anything else. Now he's been gone so long, he has no clue how to get back.
When the scent of peppermint reaches his nose, Crane suddenly knows he has to remember, or lose it all, forever. When he finds Jayce, the author of the scents that have lured him back, he has to decide if he wants a past he can barely remember, or what he's found in the woods. Whoever he was, whatever they had, Crane knows the scent of his lover may be his last chance to remember.
If the hunters don't find him first...
