Coming Soon!

Interpret (Play Boys 2) by Ana Raine

Pyotr is in his last year at the prestigious New York School of Dance. He's lost his private sponsorship, so to pay his expenses, he works at Twirl, a high-end gay strip club two nights a week, wearing a mask to conceal his identity.
When Pyotr confessed his love to Jacob four years ago, Jacob mocked Pyotr for his foolishness and rejected him. Heartbroken and bereft, Pyotr swears he's learned his lesson. The only relationship he'll ever give his heart to again is his dancing. But when Jacob steps out of the shadows at Twirl, Pyotr realizes he is still just as in love with the pretty playboy as he was when he was eighteen.
Pyotr knows he should run before he gets his heart broken a second time, but he's drawn to Jacob and the possibility of having his greatest desires fulfilled. Jacob is everything Pyotr wants in a master, but is his recklessness too much -- or just enough?

No way I wasn't getting great tips tonight.
The only way to get a private dance here was to pay upfront, and that was a lot of money. Space was limited to promote the idea of exclusivity at the club, and the bouncers at the front door screening the clients helped make Twirl one of the safest strip clubs in New York.
My ears burned as I ripped my flimsy pants off, exposing my long legs, muscular from years of professional dance training. I ran my fingers over the bulge in my briefs, reveling in the hollers coming from the audience. Any night I worked, I ended up entertaining privately. I could already imagine Ray's elated expression when the bids started.
Dropping to my knees, I ran my fingers through my hair and cradled my face as though he were touching me. I pouted my lips and looked up into the lights in just the right way to make my bright blue eyes glitter like giant Christmas decorations.
The screams from the crowd got louder as I made my way to the edge of the dance floor. I noticed a crowd of eager men had gathered. Grinding against the dark stage, I felt eager hands on my ankles, my calves and my lower back as money was shoved into my briefs.
Even though the other dancers had dropped to the floor and were doing the same, the number of hands on me didn't decrease. They weren't allowed to touch my face or hair, so playfully I swatted the few hands that tried to break the rules.
Ray's motto was that if you want it, go for it. But I knew the moment I showed any distress, he would have Jared come over and pluck me from the crowd.
Only once had a group of really drunk guys gotten too hands on. Jared had literally lifted me from the dance platform and carried me to the back like I weighed less than one of the cushioned stools at the bar.
The moment Matt jumped from the stage and started going through the crowd, I knew it was time. Disentangling myself from the reaching hands, I slid back to a safer part of the stage and followed Ray as he worked the crowd.
There were several takers, that much I could see, but distinguishing between their faces and bodies was a whole other story. They all looked the same.
I gathered the bills from my briefs and prepared to take it the back before Ray escorted me to the private rooms. I lost track of my boss. As I was looking for him through the throng, my gaze was drawn to a man seated at the far back of the club. Unlike the rest of the crowd, he hadn't followed Matt and the others onto the dance floor. I couldn't make out the man's facial features, but the haughty way he stayed seated, like he was too good to get up, made my face burn.
That would be just like Jacob.
But I took a breath and reminded myself for the millionth time in four years it wasn't Jacob.
"Go get ready -- and don't forget to put your cash in the safe," Ray told me as he touched my shoulder, startling me. "Then head for room one."
I nodded so I wouldn't have to scream over the music, and headed for the dressing rooms, pulling on my jeans before I headed for the private rooms. I rolled my shoulders and stretched, just as I did before every performance.
"Hey, there," I said, announcing my presence. "You requested me?"
With a plush loveseat, matching couch and coffee table, the room was made to look comfortable. A half empty glass sat abandoned on the table, along with a wallet, car keys, and a phone.
He was standing with his back to me, but I would have known who he was had I been blindfolded. He had grown in the last four years, and now towered over me by a good foot. His dark hair was perfectly in place, making him look just like the rich playboy I knew he was. No doubt a Bentley or Porsche waited outside for him.
I had the urge to rip his clothes off so I could stare at his marvelous tanned skin. Had his body changed much? From what I could see, he had maintained the athletic build he'd acquired playing Rugby.
My knees felt weak as I envisioned what it would feel like to run my tongue over his taut stomach and further down to his cock. Clearing my throat, I tried to regain my composure and managed to whisper. "Jacob? So you really are here."
He turned to look at me. His startling dark eyes caught me off guard and his chiseled face didn't help. If I hadn't been wearing pants, my erection would've have been as plain as day.
"You recognized me then, Pyotr?" he said in the velvet voice I remembered too well.
"Of course." How could I forget? Jacob was only the star of my every wet dream. He was the one who consumed my thoughts and kept me awake at night.
He was also the reason I'd sworn to never fall in love again.

R Excerpt:
To an outsider, this might have looked damaging to my health. After all, Prince Adrian, a demon, was twice my size. But this was anything but cruel; this was the way he showed me who I belonged to. And to say I didn't love every minute would have been a lie.
"Collin." His voice was like silk, passing through my skin and weaseling its way between my bones. "Are you comfortable?"
My arms were bound above my head and my body was naked beneath him. Even if I had been fully clothed, I would have been on fire because of his tall, lean figure standing at the foot of the bed. My tail swished excitedly against the covers and my ears twitched in anticipation.
"Yes, Adrian-sama."
Adrian circled the inside of my thigh with his finger, his purple eyes staring at my body with such longing, I wondered if it was really me who had fallen first. My body was tired, but from a different type of fatigue. He only took parts of my soul now, rather than feed from a nameless woman who wouldn't appreciate him.
But I could. Even before I'd met him, my life as a Neko had been stale. There were only two options for a Neko -- to become a pet to a demon and come to the human world, or go to an alternative island. I probably would have chosen to go to the island with my parents, but I met Adrian and from that moment on, my entire life belonged to him.
All he had to do was ask and I would give. Another way of life didn't even seem possible.
He fisted my cock, my length hardening in his hand. "Where are your thoughts, my sweet Neko?"
"With you," I replied, arching my back as the moan I'd been concealing worked its way out of my throat. How could something as simple as a hand job bring me to such a weakened state?
Adrian didn't break my gaze as he pumped up and down, running his finger over my slit and gathering the glistening pre-cum.
"I wonder if you would be able to maintain a thought if I were to take you into my mouth?"
Mewling, I struggled against the bonds holding me to our bed. "Only one way to find out," I challenged.
Before I could inhale, Adrian was between my legs and his mouth had encircled my cock. I cried out in pleasure and surprise as he expertly swirled his tongue around the tip before taking me further into his mouth. There was no denying he was amazing in bed, the only demon I could ever dream of being with.
"So good," I cried out as I felt my legs tighten and quiver. In that moment, I almost forgot my status as his pet to the rest of the demon society. I just wanted to scream and thrash against the bed until the blankets dared to slip to the floor. "I want to touch you, please."
His response was to slowly pull away until I slipped from his mouth with a wet pop. My body was alight, and the very thought he wouldn't finish with me was enough to make me convulse.
Adrian only ever removed his shirt when we were alone because he hated the scars that adorned his sides. Scars that he had never told me about, even though we'd been living in the human world together for almost a year.
"What is wrong?" Adrian followed my gaze and lowered his voice, as considerate as always. "Do my scars bother you? I can put my shirt back on..."
"No," I assured him. "I love your scars because they're a part of you. Beautiful."
He slowly let his face slip into an easy smile as he maneuvered between my legs on the bed until he had removed his pants and boxers.
If there were ever a competition between angels and demons, Adrian would win without even having to fill out a competition slip. He was the embodiment of my desires and his thick, long dick resting on my thigh was no exception.
"I want you," I whispered, "Please, Adrian."

Inspiration for Hidden Wings

I live in Michigan and there is a constant joke that there are only two seasons: construction season and winter. Winter can be downright dangerous and most times, I opt not to leave the safety of my home. But for those of us who brave the construction and shut down roads, there are beautiful state parks and flowing ponds, lakes, and rivers.

It was on one of these adventures to my local Metro Park that I came up with the idea for Hidden Wings. There were two swans in the center of the path and a small group of people who hadn’t dared pass by even though there was nowhere else to go. Swans are often characterized as small, fragile and helpless, but in that moment, I saw the true strength that lies within those majestic creatures.

A few weeks later, I went back to the park, but this time there was only one lone swan floating in the pond. The fight had seemed to ebb away and there was a hollow look of sadness about the creature that made me think he had been abandoned. In the romance world, bear or wolf shifters are predominant because of their predatory, protective nature. But swans are not just graceful birds with slender necks, but creatures of beauty who fight for their mates and are broken when separated.

Further research into Irish mythology extended my knowledge of fairies. I created the idea of a Dryma Fairy whose soul is tied to a tree. It seemed only fitting that the protectors of these trees would be the strong swans who captivated me that fateful day.

Guest Blogger-AC Katt

Today AC Katt is sharing an excerpt from Marking Kane (Coming Soon)

Gabriel Martin has hope. Three of the Alphas on the council have found
mates in the past few years. Returning to New York from Atlanta, he comes
across a human who has been raped in an alleyway. The human is his mate,
Kane Brady.
Kane has been teaching at the local high school and refuses to rubberstamp
the education of their star basketball players—almost paying the price with
his life. He’s unusual as he’s a Human Omega but he can’t be intimate with
Gabriel because of his horrific experience.
It’s up to the Alphas and their Mates to help Kane recover and accept all
that it is to be with Gabriel.

First Week in December Friday
The faculty room at New York City’s McClellan High School reeked of industrial strength cleaner, sweat socks, and chalk. The walls were made of dirty beige concrete blocks and the linoleum was beginning to crack. Today it was empty save for Coach Tom Hughes and Kane Brady, the junior year English teacher, who were involved in a heated exchange.
“Neither Johnny Sanders nor Deon Jackson did the work. They didn’t turn in one homework assignment all semester, they refused to take all of their tests and didn’t even bother to do their term papers. I have to fail them.”
“Do you realize that Johnny is the power forward and Deon is the point guard for McClellan High School’s basketball team? This year’s team has a shot at the state championship.”
“Tom, they’re not here to learn to play basketball, they can do that on the street or at the Y. They’re here for an education and they won’t get one if we continue to pass students along without them doing the work required to get a passing grade.”
“Are you telling me physical education isn’t important?” Coach loomed over Kane, who was only five-foot-six.
“Physical Education is as important as English is to their development. If they failed to show up for your class, sat on the sidelines for every exercise and disrupted the class on a regular basis what would you do? I know you’ve failed students.” Kane’s eyes blazed.
“I didn’t fail our two, star basketball players,” the Coach huffed.
“Talk to them about what happened. I didn’t want to be unreasonable so when I realized they were on the team and failing my class, I told the boys in November what they had to do to pass. I also told their parents. They didn’t do it. They didn’t turn in one missed homework assignment or the term paper I assigned in September.”
“They don’t have time for all that shit, they have to practice. The other teachers go along. This is your first year here. You fail Deon and Johnny and you’re out on your ear.” Coach drank the sludge they called coffee and stared at Kane pointedly.
“And I’m out on my ear if these kids don’t pass the standardized tests at the end of the school year.”
“There are ways of getting around that.” Coach Hughes was trying to physically intimidate him, and Kane wasn’t buying it.
“So which do you suggest, do I sacrifice their education so they graduate without being able to read passed a sixth-grade level? Or do you suggest I fail them and give them the incentive to pass next semester so they can play ball?”
“These boys can get scholarships for college if they play,” the coach said belligerently.
“And if they don’t do the work here, their professors will fail them because they can’t keep up and they won’t be able to play or pay for the education they were promised.” Kane was practically begging the coach to put the kids and their futures first.
“They have difficult lives at home.” The coach got sanctimonious.
“No, they don’t. They have both of their parents and both sets of parents work. Deon’s father is a policeman and Johnny’s mother is a nurse. I’ve spoken to them and they agree with my decision. Their boys have gotten out of hand. They are aware that their sons have not done any school work for the past two years, with the school turning a blind eye. As I said, I have their full support. The parents would rather have their sons educated than have them only know how to play basketball.”
“They don’t have the mental capacity to do the work.”
“I’d like to see you tell that to their parents.  If they were incapable of doing the assignments, I’d suggest putting them in a remedial class, but they can do the work, they just refuse to do it.” Kane glared at the coach.
“One way or another, you’ll pay for this. Those kids were my ticket to coaching college ball and I’m not going to lose out because of you”,” Tom shouted. Kane shrunk back. The coach was six foot six and about two-hundred fifty pounds to his one-forty soaking wet.
“Get them another student to tutor them. If they catch up, I’ll change their grade,” Kane offered.
“Fuck you, Brady. Either you pass both Deon and Johnny, or you’ll pay the consequences. This is what happens when you let fags teach school.”
“I could have you fired for that remark.”
The coach pushed him up against a wall, shook him and said, “Buddy, you’re not going to be around long enough to complain.” He let Kane go and Kane slipped to the floor.
Tom Hughes tore out of the faculty room and down the corridor.
Kane had stood his ground but was shaking in his boots. He wished he had someone to talk to about this, but this was his first year teaching and since he came in August from Indiana, he hadn’t had time to make friends. The coach had been at the school for five years. What is my word worth against his?
The coach approached Johnny and Deon in the locker room. “He won’t budge. If you get your papers in, he’ll pass you, if you don’t you fail. You should have made a token effort.”
“Why should we have to be in class with a fag? Why would I want to do work for a fag? He needs schooling of a different kind. By the time Deon and I are through with him, there’ll be a new teacher in English three who gets how to play the game.” Johnny’s smile boded no good for Kane Brady.
“Yeah, let’s see how much he really likes to take it up the ass.” Deon poked his friend in the ribs. “We’ll make it a team effort.” Deon laughed out loud.
“Yeah sort of like a class project,” Johnny smirked.
“I didn’t hear you say that. Remember, if you get caught, it will go worse for you than if you fail,” Coach told them. “You’re courting jail time and then no college or pro team will have you.”
“You’re just as guilty as we are for encouraging us not to participate in that fag’s class and you’ve threatened other teachers before this.” Deon spat. “This one is the first one to face you down. The fag has balls, who knew?”
“If he fails us, you don’t get to coach college ball. If we get caught, you don’t get to coach college ball. It would be in your interest to let us know where he lives so we can take care of business, and to provide us with an alibi if we need one.” Johnny stood waiting for the requested information.
“He sometimes stays late to review papers and make up his lesson plans. You can follow him home. If you get caught, you’re on your own.”
“No, we’re not. You’re right there with us. We told you what we’re going to do, if you don’t report us, you’re as guilty as we are. But, we all know you won’t make any waves because you want that college coaching position.”
“All right, go, do your worst. If you get caught, I know nothing.”
“Right…” said Deon as he elbowed Johnny in the ribs and smirked.
Kane hadn’t realized it was after nine. He was grading papers. It was easier to do that at school. Here he could spread out unlike in his efficiency apartment. However, his apartment was only two blocks from work on the edge of New York’s trendy SOHO and convenient to shopping. It also had huge windows which let in more light than the usual city apartment. His was a neighborhood in flux. He lived in an old tenement and there was a pricey new high-rise down the block at Ten Sullivan. It was the tallest building in SOHO.
Kane sighed, gathered up his papers, put them in his satchel and closed up his classroom.
“Good night, Ernie,” he called to the janitor as he left the building.
“Good night Mr. Brady. You be careful. There’s a lot of snow and ice outside and they’re predicting another storm. Schools will probably be closed tomorrow.
“I’ll be careful. Thanks.”
Kane shivered in the cold. The walk home seemed more difficult tonight, feet dragging through the snow piles with the wind gusts almost picking him up off the ground. He kept on looking over his shoulder. Kane was sure someone was following him. Every time he glanced backward he saw shadows in doorways.

He looked around again and watched five boys in ski masks come out of an alley. They were walking quickly toward him, with seeming purpose. As they got closer, he realized that they were following him. He began to walk faster. They also picked up speed. Kane started to run.

Today Laura is sharing an excerpt from her release, Immortal Kiss. Check out her book trailer

Centuries ago ten powerful vampire gods first walked the earth; their blood thirst knew no boundaries. The destruction of mankind was inevitable. Recognizing their weakness, they selected twelve wise human beings to transform with their godly blood. These twelve, known as The Old Ones and The Council, govern The Ten. A blood lottery appeasing The Ten’s hunger was set forth into the human world and passed down every fifth generation, continuing into the present day. All of Beth Ryan’s life a mysterious mist watched over her, a mist she believed to be a vampire. On a cold winter night, she comes face to face with Philippe Delon, a 700 year old vampire with a human soul. Beth is certain Philippe is the vampire behind the mist. She is drawn to him, accepting his immortality without question or fear. Beth and Philippe cannot deny their love for each other, nor do they try to fight it. Within days of their encounter, Beth accepts Philippe’s invitation to move into his mansion. The mansion unlocks the door to the vampire world and exposes secrets from Beth’s past. Within its walls, she learns the true identity of the mist, her link to the blood lottery, and betrayal of her loved ones. Surrounded by lies, Beth stands before The Council begging for resolution.

My bedroom door stood ajar. It reeked of dewy rosebuds. Inhaling an intoxicating breath, my head spun. I inched closer, running my hand along the wall and peering through the parted doorframe. The mist drifted past the opening. My heart jumped into my throat. Pushing the door wide open, I hurried inside and flicked on the light. Red rose petals drenched my bed, cascading like a waterfall onto the carpet. I opened my mouth, but no sound came out. My feet seemed rooted into the floor. He’d done this for me, for my birthday. Catching my breath, I shut the door, closing us off from the outside world. The mist shifted into the silhouette of man, gliding across my room toward my bed. His translucent hand pointed to a folded sheet of pink paper resting on my pillow. My palms tingled. Was it a love letter? I ran to my bed, pick it up, and fell backward onto the blanket of rose petals. They fluttered, crashed onto me, and caressed my skin. Stroking the coarse paper between my fingers, I bit my lip and opened it. My gaze flew across the page. If I had to choose whether to breathe or to love you, I would use my last breath to tell you that...I love you. The paper trembled in my hands, his words blurring behind my tears. He loved me, and I him. I rose to my feet and faced him. My mouth went dry. I forced out each word. “” He waved his hand over the rose petals, spinning them faster and faster. As they came to rest on my mattress, a letter unfolded...V. The others quickly followed. My small human life shrunk into the background. All that remained was a word...VAMPIRE.

Laura's Biography:

I was born and raised in Sunny San Diego, California.  A creative writing class in junior high sparked my desire to tell stories; however, Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles was my true inspiration to sit down a write a novel.  Interview with the Vampire was published in 1976 and has gone on to become one of the best-selling novels of all time.

After reading the chronicles of Vampire Lestat, the driving passion to write my own vampire legend tingled in my fingertips.  In 1996, I completed and copyrighted Immortal Kiss.  It sat patiently for 14 years.  In 2010, while packing to move, I stumbled upon it tucked away in my closet.  I dusted it off and sat down to read.  I fell in love with the story all over again; though, being 14 years old it needed some modernizing.  I set forth on the journey of reviving Immortal Kiss.

In 2013, 3 years later, Immortal Kiss was off to the publishers and agents.  In 2014, it found a home with World Castle Publishing, and 1 year later, Immortal Kiss was hot off the press and available to the public.

Currently, I am modernizing and reviving its sequel, Bound By Blood that I completed and copyrighted May 2001.

Other completed works in the queue to modernize and revive are, The Vampire Within (2004), A City of Vampires (2007), and  The Soul Collector (2010).  Future projects for creation are, The Ten, The Old Ones, and Vampire Amon.

I truly enjoy interacting with all my readers and fans so be sure to connect with me on social media.  Don't forget to post your book reviews on Amazon and Goodreads.  Feel free to email me as well!
