Hidden Wings by Ana Raine (Dreamspinner Press)

Summary:

Kanji is the last royal Kuro swan, an ancient race who once served the demonic Sidhee. The Kuro were betrayed and given as slaves to the Dryma fairies. When a Dryma is born, his soul attaches to a tree and to sustain their lives, the Dryma conscript the Kuro to protect their woods. In their servitude, the Kuro are languishing and dying off. Kanji is desperate to reunite his people with their stolen wings, but the task seems impossible.
When Kanji discovers a plan to unite the Sidhee and the Dryma, he tricks the Sidhee prince and attends a masked ball in disguise. There he meets Prince Tristan, who is nothing like the other fairies. Kind and compassionate, Tristan has a plan to free the Dryma from their dependence on the trees—and their need of the Kuro’s protection. It could mean freedom for Kanji’s people, but it might also mean choosing between them and the life of the fairy who is—impossibly—his mate.
When Tristan is wounded in battle and left for dead, his survival depends on the success of his experiments. Can Kanji dare to believe, or must he come to terms with the loss of his mate?

White Stag (Reindeer Games)
by Ana Raine

Blurb:

Four years ago geneticist Jayce Harper lost the love of his life. Now every Christmas Jayce returns to his cabin in the woods to celebrate Christmas. Alone. Every year he sets an extra place at the table and bakes a full Christmas dinner, including peppermint cookies, knowing those cookies are the one scent his lost lever can never resist.
Four years ago Crane found out who, and what, he was, without understanding why. Thinking his lover had betrayed him, Crane shifted to reindeer form and took off running. He's been running loose in the forest around the lake as a reindeer for the last four years, almost forgetting he's ever been anything else. Now he's been gone so long, he has no clue how to get back.
When the scent of peppermint reaches his nose, Crane suddenly knows he has to remember, or lose it all, forever. When he finds Jayce, the author of the scents that have lured him back, he has to decide if he wants a past he can barely remember, or what he's found in the woods. Whoever he was, whatever they had, Crane knows the scent of his lover may be his last chance to remember.
If the hunters don't find him first...

Next to You (Kline 4)

R-Excerpt:
"Package deal, you see?" Alexei and I chorused. My brother's bright blue eyes were shining even in the dark room. I mine were a slightly darker blue. Despite our freckled cheeks, pale Russian skin, and blond hair, if someone really wanted to figure out which one was which, they should have been able to tell.
We didn't limit our clients to just males, although that was our usual demographic. No matter the gender of our client, Alexei loved to dangle our sex appeal in front of them and then yank it away.
All through high school, we'd attracted the attention of men and women, which was why shortly after turning eighteen we'd started working for Lance. The money came easy and Alexei and I were never parted. But I credited him with our long list of clientele.
Just like people do in Anime during a twincest scene, Mr. Varner's eyebrows shot up and he inhaled sharply. If I had been standing across the room, I still could've seen the lust in his eyes.
Instantly, he lowered his voice as he asked. "And, how much would it be to continue our time together? Say, for another hour or so?"
There was no doubt in my mind he would whip out a couple hundreds if we named that as our price.
"How much do you think we're worth?" Alexei teased as he unbuttoned the top button of his dress jacket.
My mouth dropped and I shot him a look of fear. Rule number one, we never ever slept with a client.
"For the both of you," he gazed at Alexei and then to me. "What one of my employees makes in a day."
"I'm sorry," I said quickly. "But we're going to have to decline."
Alexei shrugged, "Vasily is right, of course. We can't allow ourselves to be swept away, as tempting as the offer might be."
Mr. Varner didn't admit defeat. "Surely, I can offer a price that will make you change your mind. I can ensure both of you receive the utmost pleasure."
Like most of the clients Lance threw our way, Mr. Varner was attractive. He had dark green eyes and the body of a thirty-year-old although he was in his late fifties.
"I'm afraid we still have to decline." Alexei checked his watch, the one I'd gotten him for our twenty-fifth birthday, and then stood up. He reached for my arm and made sure he was the first one Mr. Varner would reach if he decided to get grabby. "I'm the only one who can see Vasily naked."
When we first started using this line, all I had to do was look at Alexei and we would be thrown into a fit of giggles. Working on not laughing while pretending to be enamored with each other had taken time, but now we had it down to a science.
"Thank you for your time. We hope you will call on us again," Alexei and I echoed.
Clearly Mr. Varner was used to getting his way and didn't attempt to hide his displeasure at being refused. Not wanting to waste time in the illustrious lounge, I checked my pockets to make sure I had my wallet and keys before following Alexei to the elevator.
I watched the elevator doors close behind us and counted to ten before clearing my throat.
"What was all that about?"
Alexei loosened his tie and leaned against the wall nearest to the buttons as the elevator slowly descended the eighty floors we had to go. "What was what about?"
"How much do you think we're worth?" I repeated sourly. "I thought we agreed to never become intimate with our clients."
"And we didn't," Alexei said, before shooting me one of those breathtaking smiles that made me incapable of hating my twin. For being identical, how was it we could have such different smiles? "How long have we been doing this?"
“Five years."
"Don't you ever get tired of refusing every man who comes our way? Seriously, how many guys have we fucked since high school?"
I closed my eyes. "I don't know about you but I can count them on one hand."
He pressed his fingers to my cheek, startling me. "What happened five years ago wasn't your fault."
I slapped his hand away. "I don't want to talk about it. You promised we wouldn't."

"Yeah, but I worry about you not finding love. And what happened is part of the reason you push everyone away."

New Neko Book Coming Soon !

Crossing Fate (Neko 3) by Ana Raine

Blurb:
Rolland and Porter have been lovers for years, even though relationships between Nekos and demons are forbidden. But despite Porter's numerous attempts to take Rolland away from the Neko Island and make him into a pet, Rolland refuses on the grounds their secret would be discovered.
When Lance, a demon rebelling against the Royal Council, comes to Neko island in search of pets, Rolland volunteers. But Lance is not as ignorant as he pretends. He knows Rolland is actually a hybrid demon/Neko. Lance offers Rolland the chance to join him as an equal, but Rolland would have to divulge the identities of the other hybrids. Is his freedom worth betraying Porter and the secret he vowed to keep?

R Excerpt:
"Rolland, where is your mind?" Porter, Prince Adrian's cousin, had the same dark hair sweeping down across his forehead and radiant purple eyes. He moistened his lips, the action sending my thoughts to spiral into every pleasurable thing he could do to me with his mouth.
All the things I could do to him...
"I'm sorry," I told him. In this place, where we were alone, I didn't need to address him as Porter-sama. When we'd first become lovers, I'd used his honorific and the look of sadness that crept into his eyes was forever imprinted on my mind.
"Are you okay?" he asked softly, touching the corner of my eye with the tip of his slender finger. I'd been lying beside him in our secret spot on the outskirts of the Neko Island.
There were many abandoned cottages here, because when other Nekos left, there was no one to take their place.
The bed creaked beneath us as Porter readjusted himself so he was propped on his elbows beside me. Dipping his head down, he brushed his hair over my chest and pressed kisses to my collarbone. "We don't have to if you aren't... in the mood."
"Are you kidding me?" I scoffed, moving the blanket so he could see my erection tenting my boxers. "It's hard for you to come here as often as we'd like. Of course I want to."
He narrowed his eyes and even before he opened his mouth, I knew what he was going to say.
"You know, if you came back with me, we could have sex every single night and morning and day."
I laughed. "So basically, we'd never leave your room."
He nodded enthusiastically as he pressed two fingers against my mouth. Willingly, I parted my lips so he could stick them inside, and I sucked them greedily, coating his digits with my saliva. The lustful expression Porter showed me was beyond sexy. He was easily the most gorgeous male I'd ever met, right along with his cousin who shared his slender but muscular frame. Porter was only wearing briefs, so I could see his long pale legs stretched out across the bed.
I wanted desperately to please him. Even if he didn't touch me, I wanted to see his satisfied expression more than anything. I ran my hand over his chest, following the scant line of hair to his flat stomach and slender hips. My breathing hitched as he pushed his fingers deeper into my mouth.
My plain brown tail thumped against the bed embarrassingly, but Porter pressed his nose to my neck and inhaled, his fingers withdrawing from the warm confines of my mouth.
He tugged on one of my brown cat ears, but I liked the sensation so much, my back curled in an attempt to get him to touch me more.
"I don't think I can wait any longer to take you," he admitted huskily as he raised his head from my chest so I could see the fire burning in his purple eyes.
I swallowed nervously. Despite being his lover for so long, Porter was undeniably attractive and powerful, the cousin of the Prince and therefore royalty himself. Yet, instead of being with a demon or another more handsome Neko, he was with me.
"Whatever you want, I'll give you," I told him. "You know that."
His smile was dark as he nodded once, his hair cascading over his face. "I know, Rolland. I never get tired of wanting you. When I am away from you, there is an undeniable pain I can't chase away. Please say you'll come back with me this time."
In my heart, I knew Porter would never choose to love another, but our love was secret. As far as anyone knew, Porter and I didn't even know each other on a first name basis. Going back with him could jeopardize everything, including the lives of Porter and Collin.
"Ask me after," I pleaded, "Please, I want you inside of me so much I can't think."

Paranormal Love Wednesdays

I am sharing an excerpt from my paranormal Neko/Demon release, Clock Strikes (Neko 1).
Make sure to go back here to see more bloggers :)

Clock Strikes (Neko 1)

Blurb:

Collin is a Neko, a human cat hybrid, who has never had the chance to leave Aloria Island. The only way a Neko is ever allowed to go to the human world is if they become a pet to a demon. Collin has been in love with Adrian, the Prince of the Demons, for years, but Adrian doesn't even seem to notice he exists, so when Porter, Prince Adrian's cousin, asks Collin if he would like to be his pet for the Annual Reaping of Souls Ball, Collin jumps at the chance.
Prince Adrian has secretly lusted after Collin for years, but a demon and a Neko becoming lovers is not only unheard of, such a relationship is banned. With a rebel army threatening to overthrow Prince Adrian and the royal council, Collin has to choose sides. But neither choice guarantees him a place next to Prince Adrian's side.

Excerpt:

His blue-black hair would feel like silk against my skin. He would sit in front of me, his back perfectly straight, because princes don't slouch. His hands, cool and big, would touch the sides of my face, pulling me closer so I could give him pleasure. And heaven knows I wanted to give him all the pleasure my Neko body could handle.
His hands would travel down his flat, tight abdomen to his pants. He would loosen his clothing and reveal his large, erect cock. I would lean forward and swallow him down my throat, hoping to hear his gasp of erotic pleasure.
My own body would be ready for him when he'd had enough of my mouth. I would look at him through my long dark lashes and the curtain of my blonde hair and give him my sweetest smile. The one I'd been practicing just for him. And I would finally say...
"Collin."
I blinked, the sunlight glaring down into my eyes. I felt the soft grass mixed with flowers underneath my bare arms. I could feel my face flush, and I wanted to hide, but instead I looked up at the person who had called my name.
Rolland, my older brother by four years, was staring down at me. He was frowning, but I could see he wanted to laugh. His hair, blonde like mine, fell just above his chin and he reached up to tug on a strand sticking to his brown, fur-covered cat's ear. "You were dreaming again."
"I'm a Neko. I sleep fourteen hours a day," I said simply, sitting up so I could better hide my erection.
Rolland plopped down next to me and wrapped his arms around his knees. "Who do you dream about?"
Although Rolland was only twenty-nine, he was one of the oldest Nekos still living on Aloria. Unable to take the confinements of our beautiful prison, most Nekos had already settled for a demon master and left for the human world.
"No one," I murmured. At least... no one I would ever have.
"Hmm. Doesn't look like no one." He pointed at the tent in my pants.
I blushed and punched him in the arm. "Hey, shut up."
He held his hands up in defense and lowered his voice. "No one stays here forever, Collin. Eventually, all of us will choose to go to the Neko kingdom forever, or become a pet to a demon. You should tell that special girl you love her while there is still time."
"I don't like girls, Rolland."
He looked embarrassed. "Oh, yeah, right."
I was silent. There was no way I could tell him who I wanted. He would think I'd gone crazy and then he would probably feel bad for me. "What do pets do, anyway?"
Rolland looked at me. "Why do you want to know?"
I had to be careful. "Just curious."
"Whatever their master wants."
"Is that why you're still here?"
"Me?" Rolland ruffled my hair, and then pinched my cat ear before standing up. "I'm not going anywhere until you do."
He was going to be waiting a while. I took his waiting hand and then followed him down the dirt path back home. We lived on an island surrounded by a sort of energy field that prevented humans from detecting us. I'd heard the kinder demons who came to Aloria frequently say that it was in our best interest humans not find us.
Sure, I knew it was a strange concept for humans to imagine half cat, half human hybrids, but I was living proof we existed.
The real reason for our invisible wall of protection, the one whispered amongst the bolder Nekos, was that the demons would never let us go. They had conquered us some four hundred years ago, and clearly we weren't fighting anymore.
The futility of it all just made me want to chuck myself into the ocean. I wondered how long I could swim before making it to the force field. And then what would happen?
Maybe the energy field was all just a lie.
Our cottages were tailored to each family so after our parents and our sister left, Rolland and I had lived alone. Neither one of us had children or a Neko mate, so our house would probably be given to another, larger family if we chose to go to the Neko kingdom, which was really just another island without any hope of escape.
I pushed open our door and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Sometimes, I wanted to go to join the rest of our family on the Neko homeland, but I couldn't leave the dark-haired prince from my dreams...

Liberate Now Available!

My newest release, Liberate, is now available through Changeling Press.

Liberate (Hidden Oaks 3) by Ana Raine

Blurb:

Carson and Tate have been running for months, trying to evade the JIA so they don't end up lab specimens for the ruthless organization. In a last ditch effort, Carson and Tate head to Alaska, where other Changelings are congregating in an attempt to find a way to control their thoughts and emotions when they shift to their animal forms.

The secret to maintaining their human consciousness may lie in Carson's blood, but Carson believes he no longer holds the key to his kind's freedom. With their future on the line, Carson realizes the most important part of his life will forever be his mate, Tate, but how can he trust a man who never tells him the whole truth?

Buy Link:

R-Excerpt:

“Carson,” his voice was velvety smooth and sweet behind me. The motel we were currently in wasn’t all that bad, everything considered. At least the locks on the door worked and our room overlooked a pool that didn’t look completely gross.
“You’re back,” I whispered, wrapping my arms around my naked chest. I’d always been slender and small, unlike my very attractive mate who beat me in stature and height. But our lack of eating had only made my frame smaller, if such a thing were possible.
            “I’m sor-“
I held up a hand to stop him, afraid my legs would give out beneath my staggering body if I didn’t. “If you’re going to say you’re sorry, please don’t.”
His ice blue eyes softened and he ran a hand through his shiny blond hair. My hair tickled my bare shoulders because of how long it was getting.
I suddenly laughed a nervous gesture. “Do you happen to have any scissors?”
He smiled and joked, “Aren’t planning on giving up, are you?”
“No, just want to cut my hair.”
His eyes darkened as he crossed the distance between us and wrapped his arms around my waist. “Now why would you do something like that when your hair is so gorgeous?”
I blushed all the way up to my ears. Even after all we’d been through, he still did that to me. “What’s in the bag?”
We switched cars and license plates so often; I was starting to feel like we were in an action flick. Tate had gone out alone to get some supplies, which always drove me crazy with worry.
“Ah,” he flashed his straight white teeth. When he transformed into a wolf, his teeth became sharp and even whiter. “Food, clothes, surprise…”
I narrowed my eyes. “What kind of surprise?”
Going over to the bed, he picked through the multiple grocery bags before tossing me one. The first thing I saw was a box of cookies, which I eagerly tore open like a ravenous animal and bit into. The second was a pair of swim trunks, bright blue.
When I looked at him, mouth full of cookie, he held up another pair of swim trunks. Nodding his head towards the pool, he asked softly, “Want to go?”
            I swallowed, “It’s practically midnight.”
“Motels don’t have curfews for that sort of thing. And even if they do, I didn’t see a sign anywhere.”
Tate was giving me the most bemused expression so I had to ask. “What on Earth is so funny?”
“You. Even after everything, you’re still one to follow rules.”
I blanched and pulled down my pants so I could change into the swim trunks. “I was going to be a psychologist.”
“You still could,” Tate whispered, eyeing my brief nakedness with a look of raw hunger in his eyes.
“If I can ever remember what I was studying,” I admitted, tying the string securely around my hips.

            Study in Silence

“I’m trying to teach you Japanese. Why do you have French dictionary?” his voice was dark and smooth all at the same time.
I jolted in my seat, painfully aware of how awkward I felt. His leg brushed up against mine as he drummed his slender, pale hands on the desk. We weren’t alone in the library, as evidenced by the hushed whispers of other students, but I could’ve cared less.
“So, what do you think this translates to?” Kou pointed at a series of characters, but hell I remembered what we were even studying. Everything, even the English words looked like blurry lines to me.
It was impossible for him to expect me to think of anything apart from his thin, slender finger and how desperately I wanted to suck on it. I let my eyes graze over his lean frame to the slight bulge in his pants. Was he aware of how much he made me want him? How badly I wanted get on my knees underneath the table and suck him to completion?
“We aren’t getting anywhere with this,” he murmured, reaching for my trembling fingers. “Was there something else you wanted to study?”

My voice cracked. “Does your body count?”
